Monk Meditating on Rocky Outcrop

This painting has been recently finished but was started 8 years ago. I'm not sure why I wasn't able to finish it at the time, I was going thru some personal family tragedy and maybe I just wasn't up for it. At any rate, I feel it is a strong piece and has a great message. Meditation has gotten me thru the hardest of times, and it sure does seem like there is alot of them. But I am grateful to be able to express these emotions with art.
