California: Realizing the Spirit of the Land

Here are some more recent paintings focused on the beauty and spirit of our extremely diverse California Landscapes. Much of the land and culture has changed over the last hundred years or so, but the spirit of the land remains. It is up to us to reconnect with that spirit and care for the land that gives so much to us, and what we call home. To me, it is an incredibly important act of reciprocity for us to give back to the land, a relationship native people knew so well, and what has largely been lost. So here is an artistic expression paying homage to the land in hopes that it will inspire others to see that, we and our actions, are very much a part of this California landscape.
